Villagers who were called partisans, we would probably compare them to the gorillas, fought the nazis and facists.
Facists were Italians that sided with the nazis.
The town hid their records and valuables in caves up in the mountains.
Nazis occupied most of the nicest homes. They just moved in and kicked out the homeowner.
