My grandfather lived here until he was 6 years old.
His mother brought his sister who was 7 years old, my nonno who was 6 and their brother who was an infant to the train station to come to america. Her husband was already here.
She could speak no english and made the trip alone on a boat in the early 1900's with 3 small children.
None of them ever went back to Italy.
